For this week's edition of Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen's site the theme is 'story'. The saying that a picture is worth a thousand words can certainly apply to this picture of Ebeneezer above. He was actually trying to sniff the camera to see what it was.
And this picture of Pearl & Norman below appears as though they were posing for me. They actually seemed excited about having their picture taken and started following me around.
And one more photo of Norman's beautiful blue eye!
I processed all of the above using several of Kim's textures in various modes and opacities.
Can't decide which is my favorite...
How about you..what's your favorite?

My contribution to Kim's texture tuesday. Theme for today is 'OPEN'. I took this photo of Lake Michigan 2 weeks ago when we were experiencing a very mild winter day. Temps were in the upper 50's and the sky was just beginning to turn a pale pink as the sun was going down. Unfortunately, I left the beach area before the sunset was in full bloom. My daughter captured it on her iphone and I should've used one of her photos to alter. Instead I chose one of mine and played with the hue & saturation as well as levels and added a warm photo filter. I added 2 of Kim's textures: one layer of embrace and 2 layers of evolve. Then I added text.
What better photo for the theme 'open' than the wide open spaces of a huge body of water.

It's my contribution to Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen's website.
For this photo, I adjusted the levels, brightness & contrast along with using a gradient map.
Then I layered it with Kim's 'confidence' texture on soft light at 100%, then layered Kim's 'embrace' texture on saturation at 60% and another 'embrace' layer on soft light at 43%.
It has a nice vintage feel to it I think.
Originally the rose was a bright yellow. I think I like it better white!
Hope you enjoy!
p.s. just realized the first song I have playing is 'Whiter Shade of Pale'. Kind of goes along with the photo
